X-Formation Launches LM-X Advanced License Management Solution

X-Formation today announced the release of its LM-X solution for license management, through its website at http://www.x-formation.com . X-Formation develops advanced solutions to the problems of software piracy and licensing, helping its customers win the fight against illegitimate uses of their products.

Denmark (PRWEB) July 29, 2004 -- X-Formation, provider of advanced software for copy protection and license management, today announced the release of LM-X, its advanced license management solution for C and C++ software applications.

A strong licensing solution that enables companies to maximize licensing opportunities and to minimize revenues lost to software piracy, especially in the workplace, LM-X features key functionality that builds on core design elements to provide a robust, flexible solution.

"LM-X expands upon the best of the license management software available today, with strengthened mechanisms that make it harder for crackers to make unlawful use of licensed software," said Henrik Goldman, X-Formation's president and lead developer. "We provide companies with the means to employ multiple software licensing models while simplifying administration and implementation tasks. LM-X was built with a deep understanding of current licensing solutions and of their drawbacks, and we feel that our product represents a best-of-breed approach to license management software."

LM-X supports multiple licensing models out of the box and can be easily extended for greater functionality. Common applications include provision of hardware-locked, feature-based and networked (floating) licenses. The solution implements strong public-key cryptography and can be integrated seamlessly with AUTO-X, X-Formation's automated copy protection software.

Mr. Goldman further commented on the release "LM-X was built with security, as well as functionality, in mind. Although there are various other licensing options available, I feel that X-Formation's solution gives application developers the ideal mix of licensing flexibility and strength, solving many of the problems that we often see in traditional approaches to license management".
