Virtual Assistants, the new wave of Global Office Support

Central Ohio based Secretarial Service launches virtual assistant administrative business services for small businesses and professionals in Central Ohio and globally.

Baltimore, Ohio (PRWEB) August 3, 2004 -- Fastype, a Central Ohio home-based business opened its doors "globally" on July 8, 2004. Located at www.myfastype.com, Fastype offers administrative support to entrepreneurs, small businesses, professionals and executives in Ohio and beyond.

Started about 10 years ago, the Virtual Assistance Industry has grown by leaps and bounds. No longer bound by the constraint of physical location, Executives, Professionals, and small businesses are partnering with Virtual Assistants to assist them in growing and managing their businesses by freeing up time normally lost to administrative or clerical tasks, thereby increasing productivity and their bottom line.

As defined by the Alliance for Virtual Business: Virtual Assistants (VA) are independent entrepreneurs, providing professional administrative, creative, managerial, technical, business office and/or personal support services. VAs use the most advanced means of communication, and the newest and most efficient and time saving office products and work delivery, regardless of geographic boundaries. Virtual Assistants work from their own offices, on a contractual basis and abide by an established Code of Ethics requiring integrity, honesty and due diligence.

Virtual Assistants provide a variety of services tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. Just a small sampling of services includes word processing, desktop publishing, database management, schedule coordination and administrative office support. In addition to meeting with local clients face to face, Virtual Assistants communicate with clients via email, instant messaging, telephone, FedEx, fax and USPS.

Terry Green, owner of Fastype, first opened her doors in 1991 as a traditional office-based company in Lancaster, Ohio. After about six years, Terry decided to "trim down" operations and run her business from her home. Now, with renewed zeal and commitment, Terry is launching Fastype virtually. "I have always loved the business of providing secretarial and administrative support to the public. It is actually a lot of fun, and very rewarding to know that you are helping other businesses (small or large) grow and succeed," states Green. "I can't imagine doing any other type of work!"

Green's clients range from small business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and executives to non-profit organizations and individuals - anyone who needs administrative or office support, but lacks the funds or resources to hire a full-time assistant.

For more information regarding her services, Terry can be reached, toll-free, by calling 1-866-FASTYPE (1-866-327-8973).

"We are the office support of the future. Our role as a Virtual Assistant is to be expert in every facet of your office support requirements. We spend our time and money on the equipment, software, and training required so that you don't have to. That means you're free to spend your time doing what you do best."
