(PRWEB) August 4, 2004 -- We established the IndieProducer Worldwide Screenwriting Contest to extend a hand to screenwriters currently outside of the studio system, looking for access. We are extremely proud of the calibre of judges who, like us, are looking to help screenwriters move to that next level. To this end we approach not only highly esteemed working professionals in our industry; Oscar nominated screenwriters, Oscar nominated Producers, Golden Globe winning producers and of course studio executives, the final stop before your greenlight!
As producers, we are always looking to discover new talent and uncover the next "Lost in Translation" or "Monster", or of course, the next big tent pole movie for us to take to the studios. We realize that not every writer can move to the bright lights and big city to take a shot at their dream, yet they continue to dream from afar about the kind of life that is just out of reach. It is to these dedicated, die hard writers specifically that we extend a hand to. If you enter our contest, we offer you several chances at success as a writer.
Although we do offer over $20,000 in cash and prizes, beautiful trophies and some fantastic incentives to our contestants should they become finalists, not to mention, our highly anticipated IP Awards Gala at the end of each contest; ultimately we feel that our contribution is far greater than just material goods because all of our contestants come away with something infinitely more valuable; a chance at becoming a working screenwriter in Hollywood.
