www.50plus.co.il is a new website serving the Israeli seniors

Wealth of information , forums and professional advice is provided for the benefit of 50+population and their families.

(PRWEB) August 9, 2004 -- Dr. Sonia Becker who initiated www.50plus.co.il is a psychologist specializing in aging and adaptation to changes caused by aging. Since 1978 she planned and conducted preparation for retirement seminars across the country for scores of leading private and public companies and organizations. She wrote "Live long, live well - quality of life in old age" which was published so far in seven editions.

With the onset of the internet Dr. Becker realized the possibilities and benefits it had for the seniors - people who belonged to structured organizations most of their lives and after retirement were left entirely to their wits and intuition to obtain relevant information, with no guidelines as to their value and validity. It seemed that the best idea was to create a website just for them, and geared entirely to their needs. In order to encourage the seniors to use their website Dr. Becker wrote a book entitled "Internet made easy - a guide for beginners and those who are afraid to begin".

www.50plus.co.il is intented to form a new kind of a community -a vibrant community of seniors free to express and to share their concerns with others, knowledgable of their rights and opportunities, and capable to use the information and help they get to satisfy their needs.

The new website provides comprehensive services for Israeli seniors and their families in the areas of health, leisure, life style, family, intergenerational relationships, sexuality, retirement, finances, living accomodations , health care and more. It is geared for the senior user - visually simple and attractive, rich in relevant content and friendly to navigate.

In addition, the website offers forums in various areas and professional consultations with experts, members of the web's staff, in the outlined topics.
