ArtiFunk.com Announces FunkFest 2004

Dallas based online art gallery, ArtiFunk.com, teams up with the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts to present contemporary art show at the historical Turner House.

(PRWEB) August 11, 2004 -- Online art gallery, Artifunk.com, announced plans for FunkFest 2004, a contemporary art show featuring the work of local and international artists. The event is scheduled for October 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Turner House, an historic mansion owned by the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts. An artist reception and preview will be held October 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

FunkFest is a joint venture between Artifunk.com and the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts. A broad range of contemporary artwork, including paintings, jewelry, fine art prints and home accents will be available for purchase. The event will also feature live music, cocktails, hors doeuvres and an art auction benefiting the OCSFA.

Turner House is located in Winnetka Heights, Dallas largest historic district. Artifunk.com spokesperson, Bill Breedlove, sited the areas diverse and creative culture as the primary reason for holding the event there.

The area is a very eclectic and creative part of Dallas, as evidenced by the resurgence of the Bishop Arts District. Turner House was our first choice of venues for a show in Dallas. We met with Alfred Martinez, Executive Director of the OCSFA, and were excited to learn that he was also interested in hosting an art event at the Turner House. It has been a good fit for both of us and we hope to make this a regular event," Breedlove said.
