Procter & Gamble hosts annual IHRIM two-day global forum in Toronto

IHRIM's annual Global Forum highlights include presentations by such major companies as HP, ADP, MasterCard, Fidelity, Procter & Gamble, IBM and many others addressing such topics as: global HRMS strategies, data privacy and security, outsourcing, HR XML, workforce management, metrics and ROI.

(Toronto, ON, Canada) Designing a Global Strategy" is the theme of the 2004 Global Forum presented by IHRIMs Global Special Interest Group (GSIG), October 21-22 in Toronto at Procter & Gambles offices. Two-day highlights include presentations by such major companies as HP, ADP, MasterCard, Fidelity, Procter & Gamble, IBM and many others addressing such topics as:

·   Strategies for successful global HRMS projects,
·   Data privacy and security issues,
·   Outsourcing strategies and solutions,
·   HR XML,
·   Workforce management, and
·   Metrics and return on investment.

Keynote speakers include Hugh MacDonald, vice president of HR Programs and Information Management at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Synco Jonkeren, director of IBI in the Netherlands and Karen Beaman, division vice president with ADP.

The IHRIM GSIG includes more than 400 practitioners, consultants and HR software vendors in multi-national companies. The mission is to facilitate the creation and exchange of information relating to global HR systems and system-related activities (e.g. implementation, consulting services, strategic planning, processes, country-specific HR resources).

Each year the IHRIM GSIG presents a two-day global forum, which is part of their goals and objectives to:
·   Facilitate real-time networking on shared issues,
·   Enhance communication on events and other information relevant to the global community,
·   Provide an annual forum to help members stay current on global issues and create an opportunity for targeted networking, and
·   Create a Web presence, which provides fast & easy access to IHRIM/GSIG-related information for HR professionals (e.g. international and country contacts, international and country vendors, international and country HR/HRIS links, FAQ's).
