DvdMonster Officially Announces Plans to Enter the Online DVD Rental and Online Game Businesses

Following in the steps of companies like NetFlix,Inc. (NFLX) and Blockbuster, Inc. (BBI), dvdMonster intends to offfer a service to DVD enthusiasts allowing them to rent titiles online for a flat monthly fee and no late fees.

Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) August 31, 2004 -- DvdMonster announced today that they intend to enter the online DVD rental business later this year. Following in the steps of companies like NetFlix, Inc. (NFLX) and Blockbuster, Inc. (BBI), DvdMonster intends to offer a service to DVD enthusiasts allowing them to rent titles online for a flat monthly fee and no late fees.

The company has been offering DVDs through a growing base of work-from-home Independent Representatives, called Agents, since February 1st, 2004. Our Agents have sold tens of thousands of DVDs to thousands of customers in all 50 states in just a few short months. Now we look to expand our business into the online rentals and video game segments. Weve proven concept, and now it is time to expand our Agents ability to earn money by offering these complementary services to their customers," said Steve Hopkins, EVP.

Steven Anderson, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Anderson has more than 20 years combined experience in both the network marketing and eCommerce industries.

Educated at Columbia Christian College, Mr. Anderson double majored in Biblical Studies and Psychology. He offers a long track record of success and unparalleled expertise to his position as Chief Executive Officer. He has served as the CEO of several companies including ChristianShopper.com, Cross Tickets, and SpecWriters. Each of these companies was led by Mr. Anderson and conducted business with Fortune 500 companies, mega churches, and offline and online retailers with sales in the billions.

Mr. Anderson enjoyed great success as a Senior Director, National Training Director, and top earner with Excel Communications and was a key marketer in the companys expansion into Canada.

Mr. Anderson is a noted author, speaker, and motivator in the network marketing industry. He is a true visionary and pioneer in the network marketing industry as evidenced by merging the entertainment and eCommerce industries with network marketing.

Steven takes up residency in both Phoenix and Oklahoma City. His recreational activities include playing basketball and watching movies.


Steve Hopkins, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Hopkins has an extensive background in the entertainment and public relations industries spanning 15 years. He served as president of art1969 and Marketing Director for Area Arts, companies that represent the artwork of many celebrities including John Lennon, Grace Slick, Janice Joplin, Miles Davis, and others. Combined annual sales from those two companies were in excess of $4 million.

Mr. Hopkins spearheaded the artist and celebrity relations department at Feed The Children where he worked with many well-known celebrities including Garth Brooks, Kathy Ireland, Melanie Griffith, Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw, and others.

Faced with today's challenging business environment in the ever-evolving entertainment industry, he is leading dvdMonster with a bold sense of purpose. Mr. Hopkins dedication and keen attention to detail is the driving force behind the success of dvdMonsters sales force of Independent Agents.

Mr. Hopkins is still actively involved in the fight against child hunger and education and serves as a consultant and advisor to Larry Jones, president of Feed The Children as well as David High, president of Books For Children of the World.

Steve resides in Oklahoma City with his two sons.


Eric Robinson, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Robinson has more than years of experience in corporate operations, information technology and management consulting. After graduating from the University of Wyoming College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree (JD), he spent six years at ABN AMRO Bank. In addition to process reengineering initiatives and customer service management, he led a team that developed and implemented a web based B2B mortgage wholesale fulfillment engine at 4000 locations in the US. Additionally he managed 22 application developers who were responsible for all software development on a proprietary Oracle mortgage processing application and database.

Mr. Robinson spent more than 3 years with Deloitte and Touch Consulting where he worked with major US financial institutions on project management, cost reduction and divestiture strategy projects.

Eric enjoys backpacking, orienteering, and an occasional triathlon.


Timothy Adamec, VP Technology

Mr. Adamec began computer programming at the age of 10 and has been professionally programming for more than 12 years. A student of the industry, Mr. Adamec is proficient in nearly every known computer programming language. His resume is impressive having developed or overseen the development of numerous software applications. Most recently he was a systems engineer for DHL Worldwide.

Prior to that Mr. Adamec worked with numerous Fortune 500 Companies on applications including the development of a petroleum simulation developer and designing and building accounting and data warehouse systems. He also developed networked wearable computer systems for the U. S. Army.

When not developing technology for dvdMonster, Tim spends time with his wife and two children, develops technology for fun, and hones his skills as an amateur chef.
