Now There's Another Way to Enter Text Into Your Mobile Phone

Whether you're creating text messages or simply jotting down notes, you can now input text using Maxinote's fast and friendly on-screen keypad. The unique Maxinote design allows you to keep your focus predominantly on the screen while performing the majority of input actions using your mobile phone navigation key.

(PRWEB) September 2, 2004 -- Whether you're creating text messages or simply jotting down notes, you can now input text using Maxinote's fast and friendly on-screen keypad. The unique Maxinote design allows you to keep your focus predominantly on the screen while performing the majority of input actions using your mobile phone navigation key.

"Maxinote didn't actually set out to be a challenge to predictive text," explains Ash of Mobystar. "The primary objective was to simply eliminate the data input delays incurred when creating a text message, for example, diverting your focus away from the screen for each character typed and repeatedly entering common words such as 'the' and 'and'. The resulting increase in efficiency is quite remarkable."

Maxinote isn't just another way to input text. If you ever wanted to store sensitive details on you mobile phone but were afraid of it being read by someone else, Maxinote takes care of that, too. Messages (notes) can also be saved in encrypted form should you wish to store sensitive information such as passwords, PIN numbers or anything considered private. To further optimise your texting experience Maxinote can be customised in a variety of ways to suit your preferred style of text entry.

When your message is ready, the application's "Send" menu offers a list of destinations allowing you to send your text directly to a mobile recipient, your native SMS/Email/MMS editor or even to another Bluetooth/Infrared device. Maxinote currently supports the Symbian OS/Series 60 platform and compatible mobile phones and a licence for the full product can be purchased for $19.95. Full details of the product and purchasing instructions can be found at www.mobystar.com

In addition, a trial version of Maxinote can be obtained for free by visiting the above URL and clicking the "try it" button at the bottom of the page. A minimum of 170KB available memory is required for installation.

Mobystar is a London, U.K.-based software house specialising in mobile phone applications for the Symbian Series 60 platform. For further information please contact: info@mobystar.com.
