Joel Hass, CEO of the American Red Cross in central Florida, reacted to the news of TBNs donation by saying "It is this kind of generosity that demonstrates the compassion of the faith community. The America Red Cross is deeply appreciative."
The initial call to offer assistance on behalf of TBN was placed to Mr. Hass, by Susan Zahn, TBNs press agent. Hass responded to Zahns question by saying, Florida is still recovering from Hurricane Charley. Now with Hurricane Frances the need is greater then ever ---ask TBN and its viewers to pray for their fellow Floridians during this time of incredible need. People can also help by making a donation 1-800 HELP-NOW" to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in time of need," Hass reported.
