A Cinderella Story on the Business Front?

Could network marketing be moving from ugly stepchild to Cinderella? USANA Health Sciences ranked ninth in Business Weeks top 100 small growth companies for 2004 demonstrates the power of multi-level marketing. Amid layoffs, outsourcing overseas, and depressed job growth, solid network marketing companies like USANA may be the wave of the future

(PRWEB) September 9, 2004 -- In June, Business Week ranked USANA Health Services, a 13 year old company, number nine among the top 100 small growth companies of 2004. There wasnt much fanfare regarding this remarkable rating. Yet, USANA, and companies like it, could represent the wave of the future. In an economy where many worry about job security, USANA offers ordinary people an opportunity to become entrepreneurs and gain financial security.

Although Business Week ranked USANA number nine, a surprisingly high rating, it did not mention USANA specifically in its article. Instead it chose to write about more traditional companies, which makes sense because USANA is a network marketing company, in the past considered a stepchild in the business world. USANA seems to be proving that network marketing has come of age. Network marketings phenomenal growth and success command a second look. There are many high profile people who are USANA associates or who recommend network marketing as a good business opportunity. This clearly demonstrates a new direction in business. Aside from high profile people, there are tens of thousands of ordinary people making financial strides in USANA.

The brilliance of network marketing is that anyone can become an independent business person for a small investment of money and time. In the past, network marketing was viewed with skepticism and disdain; however, today, major corporations and Fortune 500 companies, such as AT&T, MCI, Citigroup, and IBM, have adopted the network marketing model and have multilevel sales forces.

While the US economy reflects slow job recovery, downsizing, and outsourcing of jobs overseas, USANA represents a viable business opportunity for the average person who wants to become an entrepreneur and create a more stable independent future. Globalization has put a new face on business around the world and in the United States. American workers have to confront these changes. While many companies and their employees have to grapple with downsizing, outsourcing, and an uncertain future, companies like USANA offer other options: options for independence and residual income. The stepchild of business may not have been invited to the ball, but she is definitely coming. Could USANA be more than a Cinderella Story? Could network marketing be a wave of the future?

USANA is a U.S.-based corporation that does business internationally. It is a leading developer, manufacturer, and distributor of high quality nutritionals and personal care products, which are distributed through network marketing. USANA has more than 100,000 associates in eleven countries. It continues to expand and to show financial stability.
