(PRWEB) September 10, 2004 -- Online market research leader, eDigitalResearch, has developed an advanced layered technology to produce layered surveys that will replace existing pop-up survey methods. This technology will be introduced to all website delivered eCustomerOpinion surveys where appropriate.

Surveys deploy as a discreet panel inside the main browser window instead of as an obtrusive new pop-up window obscuring webpage content. The introduction of the new layered technology is timely given that Windows XP Service Pack 2 comes with an on-by-default pop-up blocker.

The layered technology removes this barrier to legitimate survey requests and also incorporates some useful features," states Shane Wright, Technical Manager at eDigitalResearch. With greater control over size and positioning, survey panels can be placed strategically – in the proximity of relevant webpage content – or in dead space, or overlying banner ads. Greater design capability gives clients the opportunity to place logos and visuals in the panels to attract attention, or trigger a response before the survey is even read."

eDigitalResearch.com clients such as Microsoft UK, Figleaves, B&Q, Comet and the trainline are looking to adopt the new layered technology for their eCustomerOpinion surveys in the near future. Installation of the layered technology code is simply a copy and paste into client webpage templates. Its an easy step forward for clients that will create a more satisfying user experience, encouraging survey participation rather than the irritation factor that pop-ups have engendered.
