According to the events organizers, the Freedom Run & Festival is the largest annual tribute in the U.S to the victims and heroes of the tragic events on September 11, 2001.
The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers organizes the Freedom Run & Festival. Proceeds from this event benefit the Assist the Officer Foundation which provides immediate financial assistance to Dallas police officers who face severe physical injuries or unexpected death, develop a life-threatening illness, or who experience unfortunate events which would cause hardships on their families.
