Authors Slated for Black Bear Film Festival Presentation and Fundraiser

A special live performance will be added to this year's Black Bear Film Festival for children and their families.

Greentown, PA (PRWEB) September 17, 2004 -- Patricia Gatto and John De Angelis will present Milton's Dilemma and the Consequences of Bullying at the Black Bear Film Festival in Milford, PA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 16, 2004.

The performance, featuring an animated reading of their children's book and original songs and music, is geared toward children (ages 5-9) and their families. After the performance, they will answer questions and autograph copies of their book, MILTON'S DILEMMA. To benefit next year's Festival, the authors and screenwriters will donate a portion of their proceeds from the sale of this book.

This year's Festival dates are Friday-Sunday, October 15-17, 2004. Now in its fifth year, the annual Black Bear Film Festival is known for the screening of high quality, often yet unreleased new films, and has included the world premieres of such major movies as John Sayles "Sunshine State" and Jim Carreys "The Majestic". But what makes the event even more special is that directors, producers, actors, cinematographers, costume designers, set designers and other creative crew attend the screenings and then come on stage in the free Film Salon to talk in detail about the making of their movies.

Due to its overwhelming popularity, the Film Salon will be expanded to two tents, located adjacent to Milford Theatre & next to the Hospitality Tent. As in the past, the 2004 Film Salon brings together industry insiders with moviegoers to educate and entertain within an intimate setting - all free to the public.

From family fun to thought-provoking talk and soul-soaring films, plan to join the thousands of visitors this year at Milford's highly acclaimed and exciting cultural event. Updates and full details on the Festival are posted regularly on the Festivals website at http://www.blackbearfilm.com

Milford is located at the tri-state corner where Pennsylvania, New York & New Jersey intersect, along the pristine Delaware River, where much of the area is preserved as a natural treasure. Dubbed by New York Magazine as "the new Hamptons", Milford is only 75 miles from New York City, just over the Milford Bridge into Pennsylvania.

Patricia Gatto and John De Angelis are the authors of the newly released children's book, MILTON'S DILEMMA. It is the tale of a lonely boys magical journey to friendship and self-acceptance. As advocates for literacy and children's rights, the authors speak at schools and community events to foster awareness and provide children with a safe and healthy learning environment.
