Extravagasm II Comes to Austin, Texas on Saturday, October 16

The second annual Extravagasm Fantasy Ball comes to Austin, Texas (The Parish, 214-B East 6th Street) at 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 16. A celebration of sensuality and the human spirit, Extravagasm II offers equal parts fetish and fantasy.

(PRWEB) September 20, 2004 -- The second annual Extravagasm Fantasy Ball comes to the Parish (214-B East 6th Street) at 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 16. A celebration of sensuality and the human spirit, Extravagasm II offers equal parts fetish and fantasy. The event includes performances and alternative people-watching in a sex-positive, kink-friendly environment. A portion of ticket sales for Extravagasm II benefit VoterVirgin, an Austin-based project dedicated to enlisting and educating first-time participants in the electoral process.

Last year's inaugural Extravagasm occurred on November 1 (the so-called "Day of the Dead") at the Vortex Theater. The event drew more than 300 scantily-attired revelers, who enjoyed an enticing parade of risque fashion and performance artists. Photos from the 2003 event are available at http://www.extravagasm.com.

For 2004, the show occurs a few weeks earlier and moves to Sixth Street. Comments co-organizer Lynn Raridon of Forbidden Fruit, "We are really excited about the new location and the mid-October date. The entertainment lineup looks to be even stronger than last year, with performances by Faernyn's Grove, Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, fluffertraX DJ Vanya, Ms. Elise, Sacred Heart Rubber and Underground Bliss. And we expect to see even more interesting 'costumes' then we saw in 2003. So, if you've got an appetite for some adventurous eroticism and kink-friendly fun, then we'll see you at the Parish on Saturday evening, October 16."

VoterVirgin uses light hearted humor from the abstinence movement to educate new voters, so it is a perfect partner for this event and the upcoming election. "We are tickled pink to share information about safe voting practices at Extravagasm," says Teresa Van Deusen, founder of VoterVirgin. "Every voter should know how to protect themselves and who they are giving their vote to." See http://www.votervirgin.com for more information on this innovative group.

Tickets for Extravagasm II are available at all three Austin Forbidden Fruit locations (http://www.forbiddenfruit.com) or via Front Gate Tickets (http://www.frontgatetickets.com). Cost is $10 in advance and $12 at the door, plus service charge for online buyers. Extravagasm II is co-presented by Forbidden Fruit, Fluffertrax and Huge Productions.
