FIGHTING ROBOTS RETURN TO SAN FRANCISCO! The electronic stars of many different TV shows gather to fight it out to decide the National Champions in robot weight classes up to 340 pounds. Combat Robots fight behind bulletproof glass to thrill spectators.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2004 -- Fighting robots will once again crash against each other in the Robot Fighting League's National Championship - hosted by the Robotics Society of America and ComBots, Saturday and Sunday, October 9-10, 2004 at Ft. Mason in San Francisco.

Famous robots from TV competitions and regional matches across the country - including this spring's ROBOlympics - will fight it out in grand style in the place where it all started.

The Robot Fighting League National Championships will feature robots in all weight classes from tiny but powerful Ant Weights to the awesome bot-shredding power of 340-pound Super Heavy Weights. Over 100 teams from all over the United States and Canada to duke it out for the Robot Fighting League's Official National Championship's Ultimate Title!

Robots will bash it out in our specially-built bulletproof robot fighting arena, allowing the audience to see up close and personal the carnage that will lead to Number One! We're firing up the barbecue and chilling the kegs in preparation for the families that filled the bleachers during ROBOlympics.

This event is an official Fleet Week Attraction, and fun for the whole family. Last time the stands were packed, as hundred of builders and spectators alike rooted for their favorite robots. As part of Fleet Week we are offering free tickets for active-duty military with valid ID, as well as children's discounts and weekend passes.

Film crews and news reporters from Canada, Britain and the Bay Area also gathered to cover previous RSA events (such as ROBOlympics) in a variety of media, such as radio, print and Discovery Channel's Monster Nation.

Join us for The Robot Fighting League's National Championships 2004!
