LIFE and The American College to Sponsor Free Educational Program for Small Business Owners

The American College, the nations leading educator of financial service industry professionals, announced today that it will sponsor a free educational program on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. designed to address the needs of small business owners. The program will be held on The Colleges campus in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in the La Grassa Auditorium at the Gregg Conference Center. Offered in conjunction with the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE), this program will help small business owners better understand how proper insurance and benefits planning can protect their businesses, their families and their employees.

BRYN MAWR, PA (PRWEB) September 22, 2004 -- The American College, the nations leading educator of financial service industry professionals, announced today that it will sponsor a free educational program on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. designed to address the needs of small business owners. The program will be held on The Colleges campus in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in the La Grassa Auditorium at the Gregg Conference Center. Offered in conjunction with the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE), this program will help small business owners better understand how proper insurance and benefits planning can protect their businesses, their families and their employees.    

Many small business owners are totally unprepared for what would happen to their businesses and their families if something were to happen to them, and this program is a unique opportunity for them to gain important insights into difficult issues like this and to begin seeking solutions," said Larry Barton, PhD., President and Chief Executive Officer of The American College. We encourage small business owners interested in better understanding the complexities associated with employee benefits and business succession planning to attend this event."

A series of prominent nationally recognized financial experts will be on hand to share their expertise with attendees. Included are:
·   Robert Plybon, CEO, Plybon & Associates
·   Rae Lee Olson, Principal, The Vita Companies
·   James M. Clary, President and CEO, Mullin Consulting
·   Charles D. Epstein, CLU, ChFC, President and CEO, Epstein Financial Services and Benefits Consulting Group, LLC.

Attendees will be provided detailed illustrations concerning common life situations that could affect any small business owner and will have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters in an effort to clarify and increase their knowledge of business issues.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Hall of Nations at the Gregg Conference Center with a desert reception and a variety of healthy alternatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the faculty of The American College, presenters and other small business owners. Doors will open for the presentations in the La Grassa Auditorium at 7:15 p.m. with the program to begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
