CALIFORNIA SENIORS OBTAIN FREE, LONG-TERM NURSING HOME CARE WITH HELP FROM COMPANY WITH A MISSION NHS and Zoran K Basich Guides Families Through Government Regulations to Save Thousands of Dollars in Costs

(GLENDALE, CALIF.) – For more than a two decades, Nursing Home Services, LLC (NHS), Zoran K Basich, has helped the elderly and their families obtain little or no-cost government funded, nursing-home care. As the U.S. population matures and the large knot of Baby Boomers reaches retirement and nursing home ages, NHS is poised to provide even more needed services and information.

(PRWEB) September 23, 2004 -- "Many California seniors and their family members are under the mistaken impression that expensive long-term health care insurance policies and living trusts are useful and will provide needed financial protection," said Zoran K. Basich, NHS founder. "They dont know that trusts are of no value when it comes to long term illness and will most likely force the family to spend all of their hard earned money paying for high health care costs. Again, most families do not realize that in this day and age with people getting older and living longer, they face the harshest creditor of all -- health care. The irony is that with the proper plan in place, Medi-Cal/Medicaid benefits can be used to meet care costs and you dont need to be poverty stricken to receive them."

According to the Health Insurance Association of America, 7 million Americans 65 and older will need long-term care this year, and by 2020, that number will nearly double. And a recent survey conducted by AARP stated that, "the national average monthly cost of nursing home care is a frightening $4,654." And more than 55 percent of those surveyed mistakenly believed that Medicare foots the bill for nursing home care.
Basich, who has been doing this work for more than 22 years, founded NHS 11 years ago when he realized that California seniors and their family members were unaware of the government benefits that existed for them and how they could structure their estates to qualify for these government programs. He created a statewide network of long-term care consultants who conduct in-depth assessments, devise a plan to protect assets, act as liaisons between family members and government agencies, and help implement the plan to keep assets intact.

Rather than have California families pay for costly long-term care polices, NHS helps them obtain Medi-Cal/Medicaid benefits for long-term nursing home care while providing asset protection. NHS consultants provide not only future, long-term estate and illness planning but are available immediately during emergency health crisis to help families quickly obtain government funded benefits.

Company president Zoran K. Basich is an attorney and former founding member of Grey Law, a nonprofit legal services program for seniors and has served on the board of directors of the Alzheimers Association, the Betty Clooney Foundation and the Southern California Head Injury Foundation.
