Women Take Notice- New Book Stirs Up Controversy

Standing Still by B.A.Webb is making waves in the Romance genre. The book challenges the happy ending and dares to say- 'Why is happily-ever-after dependent upon a man?'

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 29, 2004 -- Author B.A. WEBB, is making waves in the Romance genre. Her newest release, STANDING STILL (ISBN 1413730388), challenges the expected happy ending by daring to say- ‘Why is happily-ever-after dependent upon a man?"

STANDING STILL follows the main character, Renee, on a quest to face the demons of her past while confronting the chaos of the present. The author masterfully takes us on a journey back to Renees youth in the 1980s and brings us back to the present as she searches for the love she lost. What she finds is not remotely what she, or the reader, expects.

Its not a problem that solely belongs to Generation X," B.A. Webb stated, women of all eras have far too long searched on the outside for some meaning of self-worth. If STANDING STILL accomplished one thing, I hope that is an awakening for the readers who indulge it."

When questioned about her deviation from traditional Romance, B.A. WEBB replied, Its not that I dislike Romance, I love a good Romance novel…its simply a statement that needed to be made. Boy meets girl and all live happily-ever-after is a surface formula. Real people need to get real with themselves first before inviting the love of another."
Author B.A.WEBB hopes to continue offering quality publications geared towards the needs of what she referred to as the evolving woman."

Helping each other in growth and spiritual awakening is essential. If we continue to revisit what society has stereo-typed then we remain stagnant, and thats not where we need to be."
