AGE Productions Lends a Hand to Jane Pauley

AGE Productions' President, Amy Goldwert Eskridge, comes to the rescue of television shows in need. When there is too much work for the staff to handle, Eskridge is hired to help. Running her own corporate video business and freelancing in TV is the best of both worlds for Eskridge.

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 30, 2004 -- When the Jane Pauley Show was gearing up for its debut this fall, things couldn’t have been busier. Show guests were lined up, but video packages needed to be shot and edited before the shows could be taped at their Rockefeller Center studio. That’s when AGE Productions’ President, Amy Goldwert Eskridge, got a phone call from a senior staff member.

“She said they had a lot of work to do before the show could get on the air. I was pleased to receive the phone call because I have great respect for Jane Pauley,” says Eskridge.

Eskridge gets frequent calls from television shows in need of experienced producers. A television producer for twelve years, she left broadcasting in 1999 after working on the Donahue show, Entertainment Tonight and other national programs. Armed with her vast television experience and a desire to learn more about public relations, Eskridge secured a coveted position as Senior Producer for Edelman’s video and multimedia division. A glowing reference from her former boss, Phil Donahue, clinched the deal.

“I asked if he would mind giving me a reference for a job I was applying for, hoping he’d write a nice note. Instead, he called my prospective employer himself and gave me a rave review. His generosity never ceases to amaze me,” says Eskridge.

While at Edelman, Eskridge produced video for clients in every sector of business, including Kraft, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, Pharmacia, IBM, Microsoft and countless other major corporations. Last year, Eskridge formed AGE Productions, a full service video production company based in the New York metro area. Though most of her time is now spent on video news releases and corporate communications video, she still gets requests from television shows in need of help.

“I’m ecstatic having my own company and business is booming, so I continually turn down full time television positions. But an occasional freelance television gig enables me to stay in the broadcast world while focusing my full attention on my corporate clients,” say Eskridge.

AGE Productions produces and distributes all forms of video to support business growth, including video news releases, audio news releases and b-roll packages for broadcast, as well as live event coverage, presentations for meetings, sales and training, trade shows and other events. AGE Productions will be featured at the Public Relations Society of America’s International Conference located in New York City in October.
