How to Graduate From College in 8 Years or Less

University of Tennessee Chattanooga graduate releases self-published book written from eight years of college experiences.

(PRWEB) January 23, 2005 -- With eight years of college, one might think a graduate would receive a PhD, become a lawyer, or maybe a doctor.

What about those graduates who take longer to get their first bachelors degree? Class of 2003 graduate, James S. Parker, spent the first few years of his college career making all the wrong decisions. Unlike many students who give up and drop out, James chose to change his habits and became successful in college. Through his years of college life he started writing down his lessons learned. Now, he has shared those revelations in his self-published book entitled My College Tips."

My College Tips" is a great gift idea for graduating high school seniors and new college students. With 50 different topics and over 450 actual tips, there is no aspect of college that gets left out. The books accompanying website allows students to use additional resources and to connect to other sources of information that aid in the confusing world of college.

What makes Mr. Parker so special? Nothing; he was an average high school student that attended five different colleges, changed his major numerous times, and finally found a way to get his bachelors degree. Mr. Parker is not the only one to take the hard path to get a college degree. The average amount of time for a student to receive a bachelors degree is 5.2 years.

With college tuition increasing each year, the need for guidance and help is critical to minimizing cost and time spent on a college education. Dr. Kittrell Rushing, Professor at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, reviewed the book saying, Parkers guide for new college students provides realistic answers to many of the challenges that confront freshmen." Mr. Parker states, My goal in writing this book is for a student to learn a few things that will benefit their college experience."

My College Tips can be ordered by sending a check or money order made payable to James S. Parker, 1627 Roberson Road, Hixson, TN 37343 or order online at http://www.MyCollegeTips.com.

The price is $9.95 plus $3.50 for shipping/handling. Tennessee residents include an additional $.92 per book for Tennessee sales tax.
