New TV Show Highlights Ethical CEOs

New ‘Good Business television program features corporate leaders who value ethics as much as profits.

(PRWEB) January 5, 2005 -- Television producer Lee Godden has created a new half-hour TV show that showcases CEOs and other business leaders who consider ethics as important as profits.

In the post-Enron era, investors and consumers are now paying closer attention to corporate behavior," said Lee Godden, who also hosts ‘Good Business. The public is rightly demanding that companies focus on both profits and ethical standards, conduct and enforcement. Companies that succumb to temptation to stretch ethical behavior may see short-term revenue gain, but their long-term profitability -— and perhaps even viability -— may be adversely affected."

‘Good Business, which began airing in late fall, has already featured interviews with:
- John Alderson, COO of Its a Grind, Americas fastest growing coffee house franchise,
- Bill Mitchell, CEO and president of the Better Business Bureau of The Southland, and
- Paul Walker, CEO coach who advises the executive teams that run large corporations.

Godden, a former Fortune 500 sales executive, is author of the book ZenWise Selling (Telsius, 2004) and is a speaker and workshop leader at business conferences. Godden said, I define a well-balanced —- or ethically profitable -— company as one that consistently rewards investors with profitable performance, but that also pays genuine attention to these five areas:
1. Leadership by example
2. Company-wide ethical awareness
3. Strong management of revenue generation and reporting
4. High level of internal trust
5. Formal and active compliance program."

During the show Godden encourages his guests to suggest ways that, in addition to the bottom line, companies can focus on the environment, community relations, employee relations, employee diversity and customer satisfaction programs.

The true test of ethical profitability," said Godden, is whether or not a company is a positive example to its employees, to its customers and even to other companies. Im pleased to see the growing interest in this TV show, and I believe it will continue to educate investors and consumers about well-run corporations."

Godden is seeking to increase the viewing audience of ‘Good Business by airing the show in more cities. ‘Good Business" airs Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. on Long Beach Community Television, available to Charter Cable subscribers on channels 57, 65, 69 and 95.

During the January 14, 2005 taping of ‘Good Business Godden will interview Dr. William Salesky, founder of Ventures and Technology Management Group, and CEO of Sherlock Healthy Homes. DVDs of past episodes are available.

Lee Godden can be reached at (562) 986-5163 or through his http://www.LeeGodden.com website.
