In its 11th year, this award-winning national program rewards the fighting spirit of children and young adults from rodeo and ranching families who have conquered or are battling cancer, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, heart afflictions, and severe head and spinal cord injuries. Many of these youths would be turned away from traditional wish" organizations because those organizations limit selections to terminal children under the age of 18. The Western Wishes recipients who persevere daily to overcome adversity are rewarded by these gracious celebrities, each of whom possesses a heart as big as his or her name. They inspire and motivate these special kids and reinforce that they too are stars.
