Gospel Singer Kelly Wright Debuts New Songs on TBN

Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 18, 2005 -- Kelly Wright, network news reporter and gospel singer, was featured on Trinity Broadcasting Network January 3, 2005. Kelly Wright well-known for his coverage of the Iraq war, the presidential debate and hundreds of other news stories, spoke to Christians around the world on important issues and debuted two of his songs from his latest music CD entitled, Kelly Wright.

Kellys love for Jesus and his desire to spread the gospel through music was evident by the passion in which he delivered his songs," stated Karen Wheaton, host of PTL on TBN.

Best known for his reporting of the news a major news network, Kelly Wright is more than a hard-hitting journalist. Singing professionally since he was thirteen, Kelly has a long list of performing credits. Headlining at the Cotton Club in New York City and other venues, Kelly was the opening act or featured on many shows with top recording artists including: James Brown, Shirley Ceasar, Vicki Winans, Dottie Peoples, Mississippi Mass Choir, Ron Kenoly, and more. As an international performer, Kelly has performed in Paris, France; Benin, West Africa; and Baghdad, Iraq. Kelly is working hard on finishing his next CD entitled Messages." The project should be completed in March and officially released in April.

Kelly is also the recipient of two Emmy Awards (Washington, DC Capital Region) for a documentary he produced called, Noble Desire: A Time for Healing. The documentary was shot on location in Benin, West Africa where African nations apologized to African Americans for the role they played in the transatlantic slave trade. Kelly has authored a soon to be released book on the subject as it relates to faith-based racial reconciliation. The book will be released in late spring by Destiny Image, the publishers of such authors as; T.D. Jakes, Myles Munroe and Tommy Tenney.
