WebAssist Brings Spell Check as You Type to Dreamweaver

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

WebAssist introduces a real-time, on-screen spell checker for Macromedia Dreamweaver. WA Auto Spell Check checks text as you type and works with Dreamweavers standard dictionaries. WA Auto Spell Check is now available for $49.99 USD.

(PRWEB) January 19, 2005 -- WebAssist.com Corporation announced today the introduction of WA Auto Spell Check, an extension for Macromedia Dreamweaver. WA Auto Spell Check instantly points out typos with real-time, visual feedback on Web pages while they are being designed. With WA Auto Spell Check, Web page designers and developers catch their mistakes immediately and correct them with a click of the mouse.

WA Auto Spell Check works along with the Web page designer, in real-time. As new text is entered WA Auto Spell Check is comparing words entered to Dreamweavers standard and user dictionaries. When a word is unrecognized, it is immediately marked with a red underline. WA Auto Spell Check uses Dreamweavers Property inspector to list suggested words to replace the flagged item. Designers can opt to add the underlined word to their personal dictionary, change it to one of the suggested words, change all occurrences of the word in the document or ignore it – all with a single click.

It only takes a single typo to turn a professionally designed Web page into an amateur production," says Eric Ott, President of WebAssist. WA Auto Spell Check turns a tedious and often forgotten spell checking procedure into a spontaneous, natural workflow." Ott pointed out that, with WA Auto Spell Check enabled, pages loaded into Dreamweaver are checked automatically and potential spelling errors immediately flagged.

WA Auto Spell Check integrates completely with Macromedia Dreamweavers built-in standard and personal dictionaries and provides full international support. Designers can work with any of the 15 dictionaries within Dreamweaver or available from Macromedia: Danish, Dutch, English (American), English (British), English (Canadian), Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Portuguese (Brazilian), Portuguese (Iberian), Spanish, Spanish (Catalan) and Swedish.

WA Auto Spell Check works with Windows and Macintosh OS with both Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Dreamweaver MX. You can use it with static or dynamic pages, regardless of the server model. Use in Document view with standard pages, template pages, child pages or Library items.

WA Auto Spell Check is available now for $49.99 USD, directly from WebAssist. Volume discounts are available; please contact WebAssist for details.
