Hollywood insider Philip Kassel, a seasoned veteran of Hollywood films and television writing who currently writes and directs a hit TV show with 2 billion viewers worldwide, finds his writing skills are in hot demand by corporate America.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 19, 2005 -- USC film school graduate Philip Kassel has proven himself as a versatile creative talent in Hollywood films, television, video and other media. During the 80s, he served as President and Executive Director of the USC Cinema-Television Alumni Association. His accomplishments include everything from writing for television and feature-length screenplays, to writing award-winning educational films. Today, in an unusual move, this Hollywood insider is going corporate.
For several years, Philip Kassel has been writing and directing the immensely successful Biography Channel styled television series called Secrets of Success," a show profiling millionaire corporate executives and the reasons to which they attribute their business success. In 2004, the shows viewing audience reached 2 billion worldwide, and is expected to hit 3 billion by the end of 2005.
As if this werent enough, Kassel recently began taking on corporate writing and media production clients. But why would someone writing and directing a hit TV show be interested in working in what some might consider the dull corporate sector, at least by comparison?
It happened by accident, really," recalls Kassel. A couple of years ago, during a lag in my production schedule, I was asked to write content for a small New York City college brochure."
With no long-term plans, Kassel accepted the assignment. Shortly thereafter, however, he was contracted to write the copy for another brochure to help launch a consulting firm. Companies soon realized what a goldmine they had come across in Kassel, as seasoned writer with decades of experience writing in different styles for different audiences. Since that time, he has been sought after to produce press releases, company profiles, web site content, and to work on a variety of other corporate writing jobs. He also recently began working with Sharp Concepts, a boutique PR firm in Los Angeles.
Phil is amazing," says Anne Sharp, founder of Los Angeles based Sharp Concepts. Because of his entertainment background, he knows how to communicate ideas using the written word creatively and succinctly. And, he also delivers superior quality writing with great turn-around times at incredibly reasonable rates, which is a breath of fresh air in the corporate world these days," she adds.
Kassel literally stumbled into what he sees as a tremendous win-win opportunity in the corporate world. While he isnt planning to leave the glitz of the Hollywood entertainment world anytime soon, his writing talents will now have a much broader audience.
In another twist, Kassel completing his first novel last year, which is being shopped around to various publishers by his agent in New York. What can I say?" he says, laughing. I like to keep busy." With his experience and versatility, theres no doubt this talented writer will do just that.
