Howard Passman, Sr. VP of USAIM said this is one of the very few professional designations for financial service representatives and other individuals involved with older Americans that has been created by recognizable, credible and accredited institutions.

The American Institute of Financial Gerontology (AIFG) provides unparalleled continuing education and confers the Registered Financial Gerontologist (RFG) designation to professionals who advise older consumers and their families.

Dr. John Migliaccio, AIFG's CEO stated that, "today's consumers need unbiased financial guidance that considers their individual family situation, health financing needs and assets in order to develop a plan that adequately addresses their increased longevity". In response to this growing demand, the American Society on Aging, http://www.asaging.org, and Widener University have combined resources to establish AIFG.

The spring 2005 program has been scheduled to coincide with the Joint Conference of the ASA and the NCOA, to be held in Philadelphia, March 9th through March 12, 2005. USA Insurance Marketing will contribute a total of $250.00 towards the Registered Financial Gerontology professional designation for new agents contracting to sell Long-Term Care insurance through its company. Mr. Passman who holds the RFG designation and is also an AIFG faculty member, recently told Financial Planners, Attorneys and Insurance Agents at a regional seminar that the nation's "baby boomers" will seek out financial service representatives and advisors who specialize in financing longevity.
