Scott Waugh, Accomplished Producer, Director and Stunt Coordinator, Named President

(PRWEB) January 27, 2005 -- Stunts Unlimited (www.stuntsunlimited.com), Hollywoods premier organization of second unit directors, stunt coordinators and stuntmen, today announced its 35th anniversary as the industrys most sought after stunt group, responsible for providing some of the most memorable action sequences in the history of motion pictures and television. Stunts Unlimited (SU) also named acclaimed producer, director, stunt coordinator and 4 year SU veteran Scott Waugh to a second term as President of the elite organization.

Stunts Unlimited was founded in 1970 by three prominent stuntmen, Hal Needham, Ronnie Rondell and Glenn Wilder, who banded together to create an exclusive organization comprised of Hollywood's top stunt performers. They made it near-impossible to join, and only recruited new members through private and studied observations. Eleven top prospects were invited into their group, and Stunts Unlimited was born. Thirty-five years later, Stunts Unlimited remains an exclusive family of fewer than 50 members, consisting of Hollywoods top motorcycle racers, car drivers, horsemen, pilots, aerial specialists, and fight choreographers. Credits from this world class team of performers include Armageddon, Behind Enemy Lines, Dantes Peak, Daredevil, Face/Off, Godzilla, Gone in 60 Seconds, Heat, Independence Day, Jurassic Park 1 & 3, Lethal Weapon 4, Matrix Reloaded, Mission Impossible 2, Pearl Harbor, Speed 2, Terminator 2 & 3, Fast and the Furious, The Rock, Titanic, Spiderman 1 & 2 and 24 among numerous other film and television projects.

As the son of one of the pioneering members of Stunts Unlimited, I take great pride in seeing to it that SU remains the most elite group of stunt performers in the industry," said Scott Waugh, President of Stunts Unlimited. For thirty-five years SU has set the bar for excellence in action for film, television and commercials. My goal as President of SU is to not only carry on that tradition, but raise the organizations level of excellence in stunt performance, direction, safety, and technology for todays most spectacular action sequences."
