Who Wants to be a Trillionaire?

Millennium Bond Company is now issuing the "pet rock" of the financial world, the Trillion Dollar Bond.

(PRWEB) October 6, 2005 -- Millennium Bond Company is now issuing the “pet rock” of the financial world, the Trillion Dollar Bond. The Trillion Dollar Bond is the first offering of the Millennium Bond Company. The Trillion Dollar Bond is the world’s most harebrained financial instrument and is sure to spark conversation and conjecture about the possibility of this endeavor actually working.

How the Trillion Dollar Bond Works:
For every Trillion Dollar Bond that is purchased $1 will be placed into an interest bearing account and after a millennium of compounding interest, give or take a few centuries the investment is estimated to be worth $1,000,000,000,000. Now that is a lot of zeros. The Trillion Dollar Bond will mature when bond reaches a value of one trillion dollars or a time of one thousand years, whichever is sooner.

In 1,000 years time none of the current bondholders will be around to collect on their investment. However, in 1,000 years, time travel is expected to be invented and through this technological advancement the matured investment will be brought back in time and delivered to the rightful beneficiary. If there are obstacles that prevent the Trillion Dollar Bond investment from being brought back in time the investment can be transferred to a future relative, institution or even yourself in a future life. This could make for one heck of an inheritance.

Who knows maybe this mildly insane quasi-financial instrument might work.
