Created by the founders of ThinkBingo.com, the UK’s leading bingo site and community, the new Scottish website is the world's first regional bingo site.

(PRWEB) October 07, 2005 -- Eyes down and fingers on your mouse! Scotland’s first dedicated bingo site – www.BingoScotland.com – launches Monday 10 October, 2005.

It offers Scots the opportunity to play against one another, or to meet and chat with fellow Scottish bingo fans from all over the country. The company expects the site to become the prime destination for Scots seeking to play bingo online by January 2006.

Like Think Bingo and unlike every other bingo site in the world, Bingo Scotland will not offer online slots or any other gambling games. These simply entice people to lose their money quickly and move on - we are about long term player loyalty, bingo entertainment and a friendly community.
The launch is supported by a six-figure marketing campaign in Scottish newspapers featuring advertising and promotional activity by Edinburgh-based Jump Marketing; and a media relations campaign from 3x1 in Glasgow. Media buying is by Target Media who currently work on the national ThinkBingo.com campaign.

The soothing voice of Edinburgh’s Peter Russell, 2004 Scottish Bingo Caller of the Year, will provide the bingo calls whilst Scottish Chat Moderators will look after 100+ players competing for up to three bingo jackpots with at least one jackpot running 24/7.

The minimum purchase for signing up is £10 and the balance is topped up or reduced as players win or lose. Special cash and non-cash prizes feature throughout the day.

UK online bingo is fast becoming a new trend. Dylan Schlosberg, a spokesman for BingoScotland.com, said: “The bingo community enjoys the interaction and community spirit as much as the game itself. The success of our national site ThinkBingo.com, combined with the huge popularity of bingo in Scotland, led us to create Scotland’s own dedicated online bingo presence.

“In contrast to poker, we believe network online bingo models have a limited time-frame as players become wise to the fact that multiple front-end entrances lead to the same friends, the same game. The future lies with strong independent online bingo brands and communities and, following Think Bingo’s best-in-class community approach, we believe Scotland is big enough and passionate enough about bingo to support its own site.

“Like Think Bingo and unlike every other bingo site in the world, Bingo Scotland will not offer online slots or any other gambling games. These simply entice people to lose their money quickly and move on - we are about long term player loyalty, bingo entertainment and a friendly community.”

Nearly 20% of ThinkBingo.com’s existing 40,000 players are from Scotland, providing a captive audience for BingoScotland.com’s launch.
