Website monitoring provider InternetSupervision has unveiled a free online resource which enables websites to display their percentage of website availability (website uptime) to site visitors.

(PRWEB) October 14, 2005 -- InternetSupervision.com, a leading provider of website monitoring services, has released a free tool for the Web community which displays the availability (or uptime) of their Internet presence.

Based on the number of site checks performed by InternetSupervision (www.InternetSupervision.com), the report assists enterprises requiring third-party verification of uptime and those websites which want to build confidence in their online presence by making uptime a matter of public record. "It is valuable because it gives you an idea of how often a specific site is actually working and in many respects indicates the readiness of sites with whom you are associated," said InternetSupervision spokesman Pete Prestipino.

The Website Uptime report shows availability information for the past six months, the month to date, the last 30 days, the last 7 days and the same day. The report is free for six months to all general (non-paying) InternetSupervision members and is free to paying members for the duration of their InternetSupervision account. "The tool benefits those in advertising sales, media buying or business development the most because those viewing the report will see at a glance how often the site is actively engaging site visitors," continued Prestipino.

InternetSupervision monitors the availability, performance, and content integrity of members' websites from four UL approved offices with personnel in Washington DC, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Santiago, Chile and multiple remote check points in Gloucester, UK and Sydney, Australia, St. Petersburg, Russia and Beijing, China. The InternetSupervision service monitors Internet availability (FTP, SMTP - outgoing mail servers, POP3 email servers), supervises the performance of website and ecommerce transactions (including website forms) and website content supervision for cyber-attack monitoring.

InternetSupervision is unique among website monitoring services in that pricing is usage based - meaning clients are charged based on their choice of check frequency and the type of notification (email, SMS or live operator voice) which they select. InternetSupervision also features AdSupervision - http://AdSupervision.com, a patent-pending service which pauses and restarts PPC campaigns when websites are unavailable.
