Local comedian, radio personality and Baltimore favorite, Mickey Cucchiella, takies his shot at the big time as he risks it all in this controversial performance "I Ain't Skurd!" Mickey's effort to land a cable TV deal will be a one shot attempt in a self funded effort to put not only himself, but the city he loves, back in the spotlight.

(PRWEB) October 19, 2005 -- Local comedian, radio personality and Baltimore favorite, Mickey Cucchiella, takes his shot at the big time as he risks it all in this controversial performance “I Ain’t Skurd!” Mickey’s effort to land a cable TV deal will be a one shot attempt in a self funded effort to put not only himself, but the city he loves back in the spotlight.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Mickey has turned down countless opportunities to leave his favorite city to further his career, but he remains steadfast..he is staying in Baltimore. Baltimore is Mickey’s passion and his inspiration, it is this loyalty that drives him to launch the “I Ain’t Skurd!” movement from the iconic Hippodrome Theatre. Cucchiella says "I just want to give laughter and success to the city that has given me so much."

Mickey’s style, an edgy, sometimes angry stream of consciousness delivery, is superimposed over his Catholic schoolboy persona and wins over every audience he faces. An experience with Mickey at the microphone is hard to describe, although some have said he's an interesting cross between Sam Kinison, Dennis Leary, and Billy Idol. When asked about Mickey’s controversial style of comedy, Larry The Cable Guy was quoted as saying "I love Mickey Cucchiella, he's awesome; if it wasn't for his act he'd be famous."

This performance will be professionally recorded in hopes of inspiring a cable network to air it.
