Chicago (PRWEB) October 19, 2005 -- Today at the 8th annual HR Technology Conference & Expo, Knowledge Infusion announced the consultancy’s continued success in working with world class organizations such as Commerce Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: CBH) to help them make their strategic human capital management (HCM) initiatives a reality. Leveraging its deep expertise in the talent management space, Knowledge Infusion collaborated with Commerce Bank’s learning arm of the company, Commerce University, to define their talent management strategy and system requirements, select a Learning and Performance Management vendor, build a business case, and develop the overall implementation strategy for the company’s integrated end-to-end talent management solution.

In addition to helping to disseminate the company’s renowned “WOW!” culture, Commerce University is focused on supporting the organization’s overall business goals by developing and managing high quality training offerings for the bank’s employees. Knowledge Infusion consulting experts engaged with Commerce University leadership with the goal of helping them automate and consolidate their current manual and paper processes, track and report learning activities, and tie employee learning and performance to the company’s overall corporate objectives. Knowledge Infusion recently completed a significant portion of the project, partnering with Commerce Bank to evaluate leading Learning Management System (LMS), Performance Management and Succession Planning solutions.

“Commerce Bank is known for the truly different banking experience that we create for customers in each of our stores. In order to sustain a superior level of customer service, we remain highly committed to providing learning and education for our employees through the University,” said Commerce University Vice President Virgina Barakat. “In collaborating with Knowledge Infusion, we have laid a solid foundation for our talent management initiative. They were a vital partner in developing our overall strategy, which will enable us to better serve our remote markets with access to eLearning and marketing-leading learning infrastructure and provide mission-critical data to managers on existing talent.”

Knowledge Infusion is driving two main phases of Commerce Bank’s project -- learning and talent management. The LMS will enable Commerce University to continue to support Commerce Bank’s unique culture by significantly reducing manual process time and empowering their employees by giving them increased control over their own career development. By rolling out a complete talent management strategy including learning, performance management, and succession planning, managers will be able to create employee development plans during the performance evaluation process that are linked to specific learning activities while allowing Commerce Bank to gain visibility into its internal talent supply and demand.

“We formed Knowledge Infusion to help organizations like Commerce Bank take the next step towards achieving business results with human capital management technologies,” said Heidi Spirgi, president of Knowledge Infusion. “As one of the nation’s fastest growing financial services retailers with more than 12,000 employees, it’s exciting to see Commerce place such an importance on the continuing development of their people – a company’s biggest investment. Their new talent management strategy will give them the insight needed into their talent pool in order to identify and move the best candidates into new positions to maintain the company’s rapid growth.”

Commerce Bank, “America’s Most Convenient Bank,” is a leading retailer of financial services with more than 340 convenient stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and new markets Connecticut, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Overall, Commerce plans to open 50-plus new locations and create 1,800 new career opportunities throughout its footprint in 2005. The bank will expand into southeast Florida in early 2006. Headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J., Commerce Bancorp (NYSE: CBH) has $36 billion in assets.
