View Series of Tripod Kits Offers Customizable Equipment For Bird Watching and Sport Optics Market

New tripods and heads family designed to withstand the most extreme environments.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 31, 2005 -- Designed for everyone from the bird watching enthusiast to the professional nature photographer, the VIEW series of tripod kits, which will be featured at this year’s Photo Plus Expo, are lightweight, rugged, compact and portable, making them ideal to carry into the most remote places on earth.

Bird watching and sports optics is a large and growing market in the United States. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s 2001 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-Associated Recreation, “66.1 million U.S. residents participated in a myriad of wildlife-watching activities.”

In response to the ever-changing needs of this market, Manfrotto has improved the current range of nature tripods with the VIEW birding and sports optics kits, designed to withstand the most extreme environments and provide years of trouble-free support.

The VIEW range consists of eight kits featuring stainless steel fixings, foam rubber padding to protect the user’s hands in cold weather, quick-action leg locks and silky-smooth fluid heads to easily track your subject. The kits incorporate user requested features, making the supports lighter, easier and more comfortable to use.

The VIEW kits are offered with a choice between the existing 700C2 and the 701RC2 heads, with a maximum load of 5.5 and 8 lbs, respectively. Both feature a fixed length pan bar with soft handle, separate pan and tilt locking mechanisms and smooth fluid movements to easily track subjects

Users can also choose between tripods, based on weight (aluminum or carbon fiber) and height. All tripods feature four different leg-angle settings to achieve lower heights, cold weather
protection and non-glare finishing. The tripod kits range from weights of 4.7 to 6.8 lbs and maximum heights from 58.9” to 71.7,” with the 190MFV, 190V, 055MFV and 055V tripods offered.
