Jewel Industries recently unveiled Dyna-Mitt, an ultra-microfiber mitt for minimizing dust around the home. Dyna-Mitt’s 175,000 micro-fibers per square inch lift and trap dust and dirt so they don’t get left behind on furniture or other surfaces or deposited into the air to bother allergy sufferers. Dyna-Mitt is chemical-free and can be used with or without traditional cleaners.

(PRWEB) October 11, 2005 -- Jewel Industries recently unveiled Dyna-Mitt, an ultra-microfiber mitt for minimizing dust around the home. Dyna-Mitt is sold in single and multi-packs directly through the company’s website. Additional retail distribution is planned for later this year.

According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, 50 million people in the US suffer from allergies and asthma, costing the healthcare industry over $18B per year. Among the most common triggers of the bothersome and sometimes dangerous symptoms associated with allergies and asthma is dust. Common house dust is anything but common. It typically contains molds, fibers, and dander from dogs, cats, and other animals, as well as tiny dust mites. One source of relief for many dust allergy and asthma suffers is adequate dust management, particularly in the bedroom. This includes daily or weekly vacuuming and effective dusting of all surfaces with a tool the will not redeposit the dust onto other surfaces or redeposit them into the air.

“The Dyna-Mitt fibers have a positive charge to attract and trap dust, so sprays and chemicals are unnecessary,” says Wilson “Woody” Carruthers, President of Jewel Industries, the maker of Dyna-Mitt.

Dyna-Mitt can be used to clean and dust nearly any surface around the home including wood, painted surfaces, acrylic, glass and plastic. Unlike many disposable dusting products on the market today, Dyna-Mitt can be machine washed in hot water and dried and used over and over again. Fabric softeners are not recommended as they will remove the positive charge of the fiber which eliminates Dyna-Mitt’s natural attraction to dust.
