New VistaDB 2.1 Release Supports Visual Studio .NET 2005

Latest 2.1 release of small-footprint embedded SQL database VistaDB delivers over 60 improvements and expands support for Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework and Visual Studio .NET 2005.

La Jolla, CA (PRWEB) October 26, 2005 -- Vista Software today announced a significant free 2.1 update to their widely used VistaDB embedded SQL database engine for Microsoft .NET. With this release, the company has expanded it's small-footprint embedded SQL database offering to the client/server arena with a free 2-User VistaDB Server while tightening support for the Microsoft .NET 2.0 platform and Visual Studio .NET 2005.

VistaDB 2.1 features over 60 key improvements including a royalty free 2-User SQL database server that features a small 700KB footprint that is magnitudes smaller than other SQL server database solutions. Other improvements include an updated .NET Data Provider for Microsoft .NET 1.1, NET 2.0 and the .NET Compact Framework featuring better performance and new support for connecting to the VistaDB Server with only 5 lines of code. VistaDB 2.1 is a free update for all registered VistaDB customers.
