Sleeping Shelby, local Chicago band is set to release their debut 12 song CD release "Pepper Rd." in mid November.
Barrington, IL (PRWEB) November 2, 2005 -- After 1 year of writing and recording, the debut 12 song CD from Chicago band 'Sleeping Shelby' is set for release in mid November. The first single to debut is "Lie the World" with a music video already completed for the single. The video is available to be viewed on their website. Sleeping Shelby's 5 song demo, recorded 2 years ago, met with critical acclaim from local club owners, booking agents, local radio staff and fans. This follow up full length CD on Riven Records, promises to be more exciting with updated versions of the demo songs along with 7 new cuts. Currently, Sleeping Shelby is sitting at the no.1 slot on Chicago Metal Works Internet Radio with "Lie the World", which is also sitting on Garageband.com's all time rock list at no.134 out of 11,500 submissions. All reviews for Sleeping Shelby have been extremely positive and they are gaining fans across the country.
Sleeping Shelby's 2005 accomplishments include opening slots for national acts such as Dark New Day and Silvertide and were the winners of the 95.1 WIIL Rock Bandemonium Contest edging out 9 other top local bands and winning $10,000.00 in cash and prizes. Tom Kief of the "Tom and Lisa Morning Show' at 95.1 WIIL Rock is quoted as saying "Sleeping Shelby is a great band and if they don't make it there is something wrong with the music industry". He is also quoted, " Lie the World is a bonafied hit song".
Sleeping Shelby is planning a tour sheduled this winter and spring in support of their new release. They are looking to play across the country and capture new markets based on their fan base through Garageband.com.
