REAL Software, providers of REALbasic, cross-platform that really works, announced today that REAL SQL Server 2006, a multi-user relational database engine for use with REALbasic, is in beta.

Austin, TX, (PRWEB) November 1, 2005 -- REAL Software, providers of REALbasic, cross-platform that really works, announced today that REAL SQL Server 2006, a multi-user relational database engine for use with REALbasic, is in beta.

"Our vision is to provide our customers with a complete solution for their application development needs," stated Geoff Perlman, president and CEO of REAL Software. "Because REAL SQL Server 2006 is based upon the same engine as the REAL SQL Database built into REALbasic, our customers have an easy path for moving from single user to multi-user deployments."

"A key benefit of REAL SQL Server 2006 is that it allows developers a single go-to source for their entire development environment," stated Jay Wooten, President of Visual Dynamics, an Authorized Apple Specialist and REALbasic developer. "REALbasic provides a powerful front end development tool and REAL SQL Server is a fast, stable and easy to install SQL back end."

REAL SQL Server 2006 delivers substantial benefits to REALbasic developers, such as:

- Easy installation, configuration and administration with a straightforward administration application
- Reliability and performance as expected from an industry-standards-based server database engine
- Whole-solution support from the desktop to the server, all from a single trusted vendor.

REAL SQL Server 2006 is based on technology acquired from SQLabs last year. SQLabs continues to lead development on REAL SQL Server 2006 while working closely with REAL Software staff.
