Local Chicago hard rock band Sleeping Shelby hits number 1 status on local internet radio station "Chicago Metal Works Radio."
(PRWEB) November 3, 2005 -- After many weeks spent in the top 100 list of Chicago Metal Works Radio, (www.metalworksraddio.com), Sleeping Shelby has moved in the last week from 35 all the way to the top slot of No. 1, out ranking national acts such as Radiohead, Papa Roach, Silvertide and Stereomud.
Sleeping Shelby also has the distinction of holding the number 1 spot for the most monthly requests (24) and Silvertide sitting at second spot with 12. When asked about the jump in the top 100 chart, Riven Records owner Jim Johnson said "It's nice to see that after spending so many weeks in the middle of the pack, we can go beyond to hit no.1. I'm happy for Sleeping Shelby as we have put alot of time and energy in the production of their new record 'Pepper Rd.' I think that there is a buzz about these guys you can't ignore. He also went on to say, "Right now, today, Sleeping Shelby is in the running to open for Bon Jovi at one of their sold out shows this Friday or Saturday at the United Center in Chicago.
