Stay-at-home Mom Launches a Baby Items Swapping Web Site

Allowing people to swap baby items on the Internet is a unique concept and this site is one of the first to introduce this idea. There is no fee involved.

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) November 14, 2005 -- A new Web site on the World Wide Web has emerged that allows parents to sell and swap new or used baby items that are no longer needed. Asma Manzoor a Kansas City based stay-at-home mom came up with the idea of launching SwapBabyGoods.com when she became a mom with her first child Maryam. Soon after Maryam's birth Asma realized that there were so many baby things that her daughter hardly used or in some cases never used. Instead of putting these things in the garage or in the basement she decided to create an online marketplace where moms could exchange their unwanted baby items. Hence SwapBabyGoods.com was started.

The Web site is a one-of-a-kind online marketplace for buying, selling, and swapping unwanted baby items. Babies grow fast and so do their needs. Before anyone knows it, the cute little outfits, baby toys, and other baby paraphernalia that parents once could not live without become outgrown and underused, taking up an inordinate amount of storage space. What one family is ready to put in the attic or out in the garage sale might be just what another family is looking for. SwapBabyGoods.com brings such parents together; offering them an economical and efficient alternative to buying new or throwing out.

Our goal is to provide a platform that brings together willing sellers, buyers and swappers in an online marketplace, benefiting everyone involved.
According to Asma “Our goal is to provide a platform that brings together willing sellers, buyers and swappers in an online marketplace, benefiting everyone involved.”

Allowing people to swap baby items on the Internet is a unique concept and this site is one of the first to introduce this idea. There is no fee involved in selling, buying or swapping items. The fact that this idea has been inspired by a baby and the Web site has been designed by a mom makes it even more original. The core competency of SwapBabyGoods.com is to provide a well organized, easy to navigate, user-friendly Web site for parents.

The Web site also has a community section which allows moms to exchange their best baby food recipes or their favorite baby product experiences. The site is only few months old but is already providing a great service to members in all 50 states. Currently there are several hundred members who are actively swapping and selling baby stuff. With this success Asma is considering expanding services to Canada and the UK in near future.

SwapBabyGoods.com is owned and operated by Swap Baby Goods, Inc.
