Vectrocon Clients Weather Wilma - Efforts Continue for Those Hardest Struck

Pembroke Pines, FL (PRWEB) November 17, 2005 -- Weeks after the devastation wrought by hurricane Wilma, areas hardest hit in south Florida are still picking up the pieces. For businesses that received help in planning for the worst, their efforts have gone a long way in getting their networks and on-line operations back on track.

Many clients of The Vectrocon Computer Consulting Corporation’s (V3C) Florida office occupied buildings severely damaged by the storm. Just prior to Wilma’s onset, Vectrocon’s professionals reached out to clients to remind them to familiarize themselves with disaster recovery plans including extra measures to safeguard their data.Thankfully, most clients heeded this advice. Due to their foresight coupled to V3C's emphasis on well designed, well maintained systems, many clients were able to continue serving their customers, even when their offices were uninhabitable.

“We stress to our clients the importance of backup technologies and security systems,” says Mr. Peter Lampard, Managing Consultant of the Florida office. “In two cases, we have customers that are not physically allowed to work in their buildings, yet due to our remote access features, they are working around the problem by telecommuting. In other cases, the use of our e-mail retention services meant that when the power came back on and Internet connections responded, e-mail and on-line communications were available to them as if nothing had happened. The results spoke for themselves.”

“Vectrocon’s emphasis remains on eliminating technology problems for our clients by focusing on efficiencies that can be implemented near-term as well as long term strategic planning,” said Gordon Ott, Vectrocon’s president, commenting from the New Jersey Corporate Office. “This is one problem that although it could not be prevented, it could certainly be addressed.”

Vectrocon continues to provide recovery service to new and existing clients, including relocation services for clients whose buildings have been condemned or deemed unsuitable for mid-term future use.

Further inquiries regarding Vectrocon’s efforts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties should contact Mr. Lampard at (954) 295-1320 or peter@vectrocon.com. In New Jersey inquiries can be directed to Gordon Ott at (732) 970-0309.
