Pyramid Design Releases A-OK! The Wings of Mercury 3.5

Simulator now runs on Windows XP and has improved graphics and performance

LINWOOD, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 17, 2005 –- Pyramid Design announced the release of a new version of its popular space simulator, A-OK! The Wings of Mercury for Windows XP and Mac OS X, bringing this technically and historically accurate simulation to the Windows platform for the first time.

Many Improvements
In addition to being available on Windows, A-OK! The Wings of Mercury 3.5 also features the following improvements:

  • New Mercury, Redstone and Atlas vehicle 3D models
  • New Redstone and Atlas launch facility 3D models
  • Improved program performance and frame rate
  • New cloud generation
  • Freedom 7 capsule now available for suborbital missions

Demo Version Available
Armchair astronauts can download and try either the Windows XP or Mac OS X demo version for free. The full version is delivered on CD-ROM, which includes both Windows XP and Mac OS X versions and a bonus folder of historic Project Mercury Documents in PDF format. Orders include updates through 3.9. No new CD-ROM is required; updates can be downloaded from the web site.

A-OK! The Wings of Mercury 3.5 is available for $49.95, plus shipping. Owners of version 3.0 can upgrade for the cost of the CD-ROM, $4.95, plus shipping.
