DriveWire Announces Addition Of 600,000 Aftermarket Parts To Online Catalog

DriveWire.com, the number one online destination for car guys looking for parts, has added a new performance part area that includes 600,000 new parts.

Irvine, Calif. (PRWEB) November 18, 2005 -- DriveWire.com, the leader in Internet replacement and aftermarket part sales, is adding more then 600,000 specialty-automotive aftermarket parts to it’s already industry leading online catalog. The parts, from such well known manufacturers as Edelbrock, Eibach and Holley, will add a major boost to the website’s performance catalog.

“We know that the performance side of the aftermarket continues to be the fastest growing segment within the automotive industry,” said Bryan Parks, DriveWire founder and CEO. “Adding all of these parts to our catalog allows consumers to keep their search for all of the parts they need to one site.”

According to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the specialty-automotive aftermarket is a nearly $32 billion dollar industry (at retail), which grew more than nine percent in the last year, the 14th consecutive year of growth.

Most of DriveWire’s new parts will fall into the category of specialty-automotive equipment, which, according to Jim Spoonhower, SEMA’s VP of Market Research, is a category more driven by want, not need.

“Unlike the automotive aftermarket (repair parts), specialty-automotive equipment products are not purchased out of necessity but out of choice. And that’s probably a better basis for defining the industry,” said Spoonhower. “The specialty automotive equipment industry makes, sells and services products that allow vehicle owners the choice to make their cars or trucks different—more personalized based on their lifestyles and how they use their vehicles.”

The new parts will combine with the current catalog to give DriveWire an industry leading 1.1 million online parts, including names like: Auto Meter, Bosch, Edelbrock, Eibach, KYB, Holley, Bilstein, Intrax, Injen, Magnaflow, AEM, DCSports, Superchips, B+G, as well as genuine OEM Factory Replacement parts that, until now, have not been available outside the dealer.

DriveWire.com is located in Orange County, Irvine, California. The company has more than 50 warehouses across the United States and can provide overnight delivery from many locations, including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Seattle, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Detroit, New York, Portland, Baltimore and Nassau County, NY.
