Relieve Office Stress and Tension: New CD Provides Stretching Exercises in Audio, Video or Text Form

Need to relieve stress and tension, but don’t have time to leave the office? Try the new “Work is a Stretch CD Rom,” available from www.yogatg.com.

(PRWEB) November 22, 2005 -- Need to relieve stress and tension, but don’t have time to leave the office?

Try the new “Work is a Stretch CD Rom,” available from www.yogatg.com The CD Rom provides many stretching and breathing exercises designed to relieve mental stress and physical tension. All the exercises can be done at your desk, without any special equipment, according to Nancy Wile, a registered yoga teacher and founder of Yoga to Go in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The program is available in a number of media to fit the needs of the office. The CD features MP3 audio files, Flash video files (mov format) or pdf files for printing.

“This is a stretching program people can do at their office to relieve stress, increase their energy and relieve back or neck tension." Wile says. “All exercises are done either standing or sitting in a chair and allow the person to use their chair and desk as part of the stretching program. The exercises are simple, but have lasting effects. And, if done over time, they will help improve your flexibility, back strength and posture, as well as your peace of mind.”

“Relieving office-based stress and tension can help improve the quality of a person’s life,” Wile says.

Stress does cause harm: The National Science Foundation reports over 30% of American adults experience enough daily stress to affect their performance at home or at work.

The American Institute for Stress estimates that stress is the cause of nearly 90% of doctor visits in the U.S.

The reduction of stress can help reduce costs for employers as well. According to the US Department of Labor, two-thirds of reported cases of occupational stress are experienced by white collar workers, and repetitive stress injuries have risen 10 times in the past 14 years. These claims carry with them an estimated average expense exceeding $14,000 per company.

For more information or to place an order, go to www.yogatg.com. To access the CD, check the “Yoga at Work” link, then the “Work is a Stretch” link.

Cost of the CD is $14.00 and can be ordered online.
