Success with New Year’s resolutions can be accomplished with new self-talk audio book.
At the beginning of the year you are full of optimism, excitement and hope. The thoughts and words you use to describe your resolutions are enthusiastic and positive. Then as days and months progress, enthusiasm fades and you find yourself referring to your goals with doubtful and apologetic self-talk.

(PRWEB) November 29, 2005 – With more than half of Americans abandoning their New Year’s resolutions, success hinges on a new self-talk audio book entitled “Design Your Life: Using Self-Talk to Create Your Life One Day at a Time,” by Michael J. Russ available at Amazon.com.

According to a University of Scranton survey, 40 to 45 percent of American adults make one or more resolutions each year, however, only 36 percent maintained their resolution(s) after six months.

“Americans simply talk themselves right out of their resolutions,” said Michael Russ, president of Powerful Living International, LLC. “At the beginning of the year you are full of optimism, excitement and hope. The thoughts and words you use to describe your resolutions are enthusiastic and positive. Then as days and months progress, enthusiasm fades and you find yourself referring to your goals with doubtful and apologetic self-talk.”

To help people maintain the attitude, drive and motivation necessary to successfully accomplish goals, Russ has produced a new audio book outlining how to align self-talk with goals.

Self-talk is what people think and say about themselves, both in their head and in conversations with others. The experiences and success people have in their lives are directly influenced by self-talk. Russ says self-defeating thoughts should be replaced by supportive thoughts.

“Self-talk is the most incredible force you have for creating the life you envision. When you use it to support you in every moment, life doesn’t seem so difficult. This is the power of self-talk,” said Russ.
