Producers' BIO
John Weeks has been involved in community radio for 10 years. He has also produced / presented a variety of radio programs, such as specialist music programs, a current affairs show, and an afternoon drive-time program. He has received various acknowledgments and awards for his radio and community work. He is a strong supporter of the arts & entertainment scene. Through his radio programs he has promoted established and lesser-known musicians, authors, artists and actors. To date, he has conducted over a thousand radio interviews. He has organised and presented one-day Blues and Folk festivals. Apart from his radio work, he comperes music concerts and festivals, and is an active photographer for musicians and community groups. His work has been featured on various websites and promotional material.
Smiley Grahame has been involved in community radio for well over 18 years. His involvement with the country music scene stems back to the early Rodeo and ‘tent’ shows featuring such acts as Slim Dusty, Reg Lindsay, Tex Morton, Chad Morgan, Rick & Thel Carey and others. He is highly regarded as a Country Music personality by established Australian musicians young and old. He has received various acknowledgments of his radio and community work. Saturday Morning Country is one of the most popular shows on 3MDR 97.1 fm. The phone response from listeners on the show each week is quite phenomenal. In 2005 Smiley was recognised and awarded by the Tamworth Country Music committee for his support and contribution to country music in Australia.
