AstroScope 9323B™ is the ultimate night vision module for converting 2/3” B4-mount cameras into portable, low-light video imaging systems.
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 2, 2005 -– Whether it’s the media reporting on the War on Terror, broadcasting from the front lines at night, or the production of a feature film that includes special scenes created to captivate audiences with spectacular low-light images, Electrophysics has the solution – the AstroScope 9323B. The ultimate night vision module for 2/3” B4-mount cameras, the AstroScope 9323B provides superior low-light performance, transforming dark, moonlight or starlit nights into bright, high-resolution scenes that can be seen through the viewfinder and easily recorded.
Boasting a rugged and compact design that makes it ideal for field use, the AstroScope 9323B incorporates a state-of-the-art, Gen III image intensifier that automatically transforms dark scenes, below 10-4 lux, into bright, high-resolution images. Delivering optimum performance in every configuration, the AstroScope 9323B delivers the sharpest detail and highest quality full-frame images with no vignetting, a common problem with many night vision platforms. Electrophysics also offers a wide range of intensifier performance levels and camera specific adapters and brackets that allow users to customize the AstroScope9323 to fit their individual camera models and needs. Additional AstroScope models are also available for a broad range of still cameras and camcorders, including the Nikon AF-type and Canon EOS-type SLR and DSLR cameras, the Canon XL-2 camcorder and the Sony DSR-PD170 prosumer camcorder.
“The impact of the media’s in-depth war coverage, especially with the military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, can be felt worldwide,” said Jay Jones, Director of Night Vision Sales for Electrophysics. “Advanced, high-tech equipment, such as the AstroScope 9323B, has given the media the ability to elevate its reporting, and through the broadcast of striking and moving night vision images, communicate the hardships, adversities and real-time conditions that the military faces everyday.”
The AstroScope 9323B is easy to set up and essentially requires no additional training in order to operate. Designed specifically for B4-mount camera systems, the AstroScope 9323B mounts between the objective lens and the camera body and features a seamless electronic integration that maintains existing communication between the camera and the objective lens. In addition, many lens functions, including zoom and control of the lens iris are maintained. The AstroScope 9323B also requires no additional power source, as it draws the small amount it needs directly from the camera via the lens cable.
