Alsbridge, the Independent Advisors on Outsourcing, Shared Services and Offshoring, today announce the topic of their next roundtable event taking place on 18th January 2006, London: “Does the traditional procurement process make outsourcing deals fail?”. The event, co-hosted by global law firm Morrison & Foerster, will be an opportunity for senior executives responsible for sourcing projects to share their experiences of procurement and outsourcing under Chatham House rules of confidentiality.

London, UK (PRWEB) December 6, 2005 -- Alsbridge, the Independent Advisors on Outsourcing, Shared Services and Offshoring, today announce the topic of their next roundtable event taking place on 18th January 2006, London: “Does the traditional procurement process make outsourcing deals fail?”.

The event, co-hosted by global law firm Morrison & Foerster, will be an opportunity for senior executives responsible for sourcing projects to share their experiences of procurement and outsourcing under Chatham House rules of confidentiality. It is the first in a series of roundtable discussions organised by Alsbridge, all of which are designed to tackle head-on those issues that, until now, have been skirted around.

The decision to commence their 2006 programme with this particular theme was borne from a growing awareness both that many deals fail to meet the expectations of the parties, and that the BPO supplier community is increasingly frustrated by their perceived inability to differentiate themselves and propose optimal solutions to clients.

Rick Simmonds, Alsbridge partner comments, “The traditional process is expensive and time-consuming and is not delivering the results expected – the market is increasingly dissatisfied with it and we are looking to co-develop a more creative and collaborative, but by no means less rigorous, approach to the outsourcing buying and contracting process which will result in sustainable deals efficiently arrived at”.

Individuals with an interest in being invited to the event should contact Helen Ricardo on +44(0) 20 7242 0666. Places are strictly limited.
