Kissimmee Utility Authority Internet programmer/analyst Rob Morris has been named one of Microsoft's 2006 Most Valuable Professionals -- one of only 20 individuals worldwide to be honored in the category of digital media.

Kissimmee, FL (PRWEB) December 3, 2005 -– Kissimmee Utility Authority, Florida's sixth largest community-owned utility, announced today that Internet programmer/analyst Rob Morris has been named one of Microsoft's 2006 Most Valuable Professionals, in the category of digital media.

Only 20 individuals worldwide were honored in this MVP category.

Microsoft began issuing the MVP awards more than ten years ago to honor individual users across 87 countries for their outstanding contributions to the Microsoft community. According to the Microsoft website, "MVPs are recognized, credible, and accessible individuals with expertise in one or more Microsoft products who actively participate in online and offline communities to share their knowledge and expertise with other Microsoft customers." (Read more at http://mvp.support.microsoft.com)

To recognize the contributions they make, MVPs have the opportunity to meet with Microsoft executives and participate in technical content development. In addition, MVPs receive early access to technology, which keeps them on the cutting edge.

Morris began his career at KUA in 1998. This is the third consecutive year that he has received the MVP designation.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) provides electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.
