“Unshakable: The Remarkable True Story of Rick Silanskas,” tells the story of one man’s haunting holiday dream. Written by Texas author Paula Felps, the book follows Rick's Christmas-time dream of a scared little girl and his desperate search to find her. Convinced that the child existed and needed his help, Rick and his wife, Stephanie, embarked on a search that would lead them to Russia - and to the child he couldn't forget.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) December 6, 2005 -- Author Paula Felps has released the feel-good holiday story of the year with her new book, “Unshakable: The Remarkable True Story of Rick Silanskas.” The true story of one man’s haunting Christmas dream about a scared little girl – and his determination to rescue her – is an uplifting story of faith, hope and the power of dreams. Published by Advantage Books, “Unshakable” is available at www.unshakablebook.com and through all major booksellers.

Rick’s amazing story began on December 23 with a vivid dream about a frightened little girl in a decrepit basement. He began carrying her to safety, but awoke before he could complete his mission. Rick awoke heartbroken, his arms aching for the child that he was convinced he must find.

In complete faith and against all odds, Rick and his wife, Stephanie, began the most amazing journey of their lives – looking for the small child whom he had held in his dreams and now could not get out of his heart.

Convinced that the child existed somewhere in Russia, Rick contacted an orphanage specializing in international adoptions. He even commissioned an artist to sketch a detailed portrait of the little girl so others could join in their search. That search led them to a Russian orphanage, where they found the exact child that Rick had held in his dream.

Her name was Nadia – which in Russian means “hope.” Rick and Stephanie later learned that Nadia’s mother had signed away her parental rights on the very date and time Rick had dreamed of the abandoned little girl in the basement.

Ultimately, this journey transformed not only the lives of Rick and Stephanie’s entire family, but touched thousands of Russian orphans as well. Today Nadia lives in Florida with her new family, and as a result of his experiences, Rick created The Project Anna Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Russian orphans.
