Peer Software Releases Peer-ISR Server Edition, Providing Immediate “One Step” Disaster Recovery

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Peer-ISR Server Edition assures continuous server uptime through one-step recovery from critical file corruptions, virus attacks, or any other system or application software failure.

Ronkonkoma, NY (PRWEB) December 6, 2005 -- Peer Software, Inc., a global provider of enterprise-grade file and network management solutions for hundreds of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies, announces the release of Peer-ISR Server Edition, a disaster recovery solution that simplifies server uptime through a one-step recovery from server failure.. The software provides ongoing and transparent protection by creating live “point in time” snapshots of live server environments on an ad-hoc or scheduled basis.. Additionally, Peer-ISR Server Edition provides a “data anchoring” feature that allows you to keep server data locked down no matter which server environment snapshot you select to boot from.

“Peer-ISR Server Edition reaffirms our commitment to setting new standards in enterprise-grade file synchronization, replication, and continuous backup,” said Paul Marsala, President of Peer Software. “Peer-ISR helps protect an enterprise’s ‘nerve center’ – servers across the entire operating environment – from ongoing and ever-changing threats and inevitable system failure. Indeed, organizations ought to view it as another necessary layer of protection, as intrinsic and as critical as updated virus and spyware software*. Peer-ISR offers the four things our enterprise customers want most: simplicity, transparency, reliability and instantaneous recovery to assure seamless business continuity.”

  • Peer-ISR is fully compatible with all anti-virus, spyware, and traditional server backup applications and currently available for Microsoft Server Platforms.

Features At-a-Glance

  • Simple 1-step "Hot Key" system recovery from a pre-stored snapshot.
  • Perfect point-in-time snapshots while the system is live.
  • Scheduled or manual updates of snapshots are differential.
  • Data Anchoring feature provides up-to-date access to all anchored data files regardless of the snapshot booted.
  • Archive Snapshot for offsite storage.
  • Freeze the system at each boot.
  • Simple Remote management.

Peer-ISR Server Edition runs under Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home or Professional. It requires a minimum of 128 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended) and requires 6 MB of hard disk space for the application (additional space required for snapshots will vary).

Peer-ISR is listed at $449 per copy (per server). The Workstation version is available for $49 per copy, requiring a minimum purchase of five copies.
